Upper House Region of Western Victoria
Mr Francesco (Frank) Raco is the Managing Director at Raco Special Vehicles. He commenced operations in 1989 restoring 1957 Chevrolet sedan as a wedding car. Since then his business has developed and grown to the flourishing business it is today.Francesco Raco was born in Footscray and lives in Victoria with his wife and three children. He believes there is a lack of representation with respect to transport and the state of the public transport system, roads and the like, are proof of this.
Francesco Raco says, “Transport Matters Party is made up of people like myself who have experienced the good, the bad and the ugly of the Victorian Transport System, so it’s our aim to improve on what we have”.
“I would like to see more affordable and efficient access to public transport for young people under the age of 18 and senior citizens. Traffic conditions, in my opinion, are terrible and driving itself has become so stressful. I used to have a passion for driving, I used to enjoy it, now it’s not so enjoyable,” he said.
Francesco Raco wants to see safe access to and on our roads for bike users greatly improved. He also believes that some of the speed camera revenue should be placed into real and useful driver training courses for our younger drivers who, in his opinion, are taught how to get a licence, rather than how to drive a vehicle.
“I would like to see level fairness with respect to commercial passenger vehicles, where we can achieve acceptable customer waiting times and sustainable revenue for drivers and owners,” he continued.
His sporting interests are off-road motor bike riding, Clay Target Shooting, Hunting, Fishing. When he gets some spare time he visits the gym.
Mr Francesco Raco has been endorsed by the Transport Matters Party as its candidate for the Upper House District of Western Victoria
